Chemical reaction a process that converts one or more substances into new substances by rearranging their atoms
reactant a substance that takes part in and undergoes change during a reaction.
product The substance that is produced by the chemical reaction
activation energy the amount of energy needed to initiate a reaction
catalyst any substance that increases the rate of a reaction without itself being consumed.
enzyme An enzyme is a biological catalyst that is usually a protein but could be RNA
