| Chemical Reaction | a process in which atoms rearrange to form new substances |
| Model | an object, diagram, or computer program that helps us understand something by making it simpler or easier to see |
| Product | an ending substance that is made during a chemical reaction |
| Property | something that can be observed about a substance, such as color, smell, or boiling point |
| Reactant | a starting substance that is a part of chemical reaction |
| Rearrange | to change the order or position of something |
| Scale | the relative size of things |
| Substance | something of all the atoms or groups of atoms |
| Boiling Point | the temperature at which a substance changes from the liquid stage to the gas phase |
| Chemical Formula | letters and number showing the types and number of atoms that repeat to make up a substance |
| Extended Structure | a structure formed by repeating groups of atoms linked together in a large network |
| Melting Point | the temperature at which a substance changes from the solid phase to the liquid phase |
| Molecule | a group of atoms joined together in a particular way |
| Fertilizer | a substance that is added to soil to help plants grow |
| Corrosive | able to cause damage |
