Chemical Reactions

Chemical reaction A process in which atoms rearrange to form new substances

Product An ending substance that is made during a chemical reaction
Property Something that can be observed about a substance, such as color, smell, or boiling point
Reactant A starting substance thaat is part of a chemical reaction
Rearrange To change the order of position of something
Scale The relative size of things
Substance Something that is made of all the same atoms or groups of atoms
Boiling point The temperture at which a substance changes from the liquid phase to the gas phase
Chemical formula Letters and numbers showing the types and number of atoms that repeat to make up a substance
Extended structure A structure formed by repeating groups of atoms linked together in a large network
Melting point The temperture at which a substance changes from the solid phase to the liiquid phase
Molecule A group of atoms joined together in a particular way
Fertilizer A substance that is added to soil to help plants grow
Corrosive Able to cause damage
