Vocab Algebra 1

QuestionAnswer
Constant a number without a variable; when in standard form it will come last
Coefficient the "big" number in front of any variable (letter)
Standard Form arranging all of the terms with from the biggest exponent to the smallest with the constant last
Degree the highest/biggest exponent in the polynomial
Variable a letter in the math problem
Leading Coefficient the "big" number in front of the first term when the polynomial is in standard form (It is the leader-comes first)
"Like terms" terms that have the same variable (letter) AND exponent (little number)
Exponent the "little" number floating in the air connected to a variable (letter) or number
Polynomial multiple terms-separated by plus and/or minus signs
Monomial one term
Binomial two terms
Trinomial three terms
