| Neutron | a subatomic particle with no electric charge, found in the nucleus of every atom except for hydrogen |
| Electron | a negatively charged particle found in atoms |
| Isotope | an atom of the same element with the same number of protons but a different number of neutrons |
| Ion | an atom or molecule with a net electrical charge |
| Compound | a chemical substance, a word made of two or more words, or a mixture of elements and parts |
| Molecule | a group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds |
| Covalent Bond | a chemical link where two atoms share one or more pairs of electrons |
| Ionic Bond | a type of chemical bond formed through the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions |
