Electoral college part of the process that Americans use to select their president
Primary election if you register as a democrat or republican you can vote in the primary which you choose for the general election.
Private funding seeking someone to fund something who's not in the books
Popular vote(for president) it's who people want to be president yet their vote doesn't truly matter in the end.
Straight ticket means voting for all the candidates in one political party.
Presidential election campaign fund This fund allows taxpayers, by checking a box on their federal income tax return, to designate $3 of their annual taxes to go to the fund
Voter registration requires states to let people register when they renew their drivers’ licenses.
Canvassing When candidates or campaign workers travel through neighborhoods asking for votes or taking public opinion polls.
Referendum a way for citizens to approve or reject a state or local law.
Voters information bulletin gives information about who's in the running
Requirement to vote in U.S elections must be registered to vote in the state, US citizen, not a convicted felon, and must be over 18.
absentee ballot where citizens who cannot get to the polls on election day can vote
Runoff election this is held when none of the candidates for a particular office wins a majority of the vote in the general election and is held to determine the winner.
Political parties national conventions a formal meeting of party delegates, typically held every four years to nominate candidates for president and vice president and to adopt a party platform
How does one become president? Candidates for president begin organizing their campaign long before the election and win with the most electoral college votes.
Characteristic of most voters in U.S their educated, researched candidates, tend to be over the age of 18
