Axis An imaginary line that passes from the North Pole to the South Pole.
Rotation Spinning on earth on its axis.
Revolution The movement of one object around the sun.
Orbit Path planets follow when they revolve around the sun
Solstice Earth is most tilted toward or away from the sun which causes the longest or shortest day of the year.
Equinox Earth is not tilted toward the sun which causes equal day and night.
Gravity force that attracts all objects toward each other
Law of universal gravitation States that every object in the universe attracts every other object and its force depends on mass and distance.
Inertia tendency that keeps planets in motion.
