What is a Burgesses? An inhabitant of a town or borough with full rights of citizenship.
What did John Smith do? John Smith was an English adventurer, soldier, explorer, and author best known for his role in the survival of the Jamestown colony in North America and for exploring and mapping the region.
What is a Virginia Company? A Virginia Company was a joint-stock company chartered by King James I in 1606 to establish and govern an English colony in North America.
What is the company called that gives Englishmen the rights? Virginia Company.
Who owned Jamestown? The Virginia Company of London.
When caption Smith returned to England the Virginia company appointed who? Sir Thomas West.
Who revised the charter? King James I and officials of the Virginia Company.
Who was chosen to be the president of the counsel? John Smith in 1608.
