| Splenosis | Breakdown (destruction) of spleen tissue |
| Antigen | Substance that causes the body to produce antibodies |
| Ischemia | Blockage of blood flow to an organ |
| Anemia | Reduced red blood cells |
| Uremia | Presence of blood in the urine |
| Thromboembolism | Blockage of a blood vessel (embolism) caused by clot that has broken off from where it formed. |
| Thrombogenic | Capable of forming a blood clot |
| Thrombosis | The formation of a blood clot |
| Polycythemia | Excess of red blood cells |
| Neutropenia | Deficiency in neutrophil |

| Hemostatic | Drug that stops bloodflow |
| Hypervolemia | Increased blood volume |
| Hemoglobin | Iron-containing pigment in red blood cells that carries oxygen to the cells |
| Hemolytic Anemia | Anemia caused by the destruction of red blood cells |
