Laryngeal Muscles

| Cricothyroid (Actions): | stretches and tenses the vocal ligament. Raises pitch. Pulls thyroid cartilage anteriorly w/o moving inferior horns. Lengthen vocal cords (high pitch/ female like sound). Antagonized by thyroarytenoid muscle. |

| Thyroarytenoids (actions): | Sole aBductors of the vocal folds. |
| Thyroarytenoids (innervation) | inferior laryngeal nerve (recurrent laryngeal). CNX |
