cuticle waxy, waterproof coating of stems and leaves
xylem plant tissue that transport water and minerals
meristematic plant tissue responsible for plant growth
root plant organ that absorb materials from the soil, anchors plant in the ground
stem part of plant that provides support and allows plant to grow taller
lateral meristem meristem that causes the plant to grow in width
angiosperm A flowering plant, it bears a seed with a layer of tissue that protects the seed
petal This brightly colored structure is just inside the sepals, attracts pollinators
ground tissue tissue made up of all the cells that lie between dermal and vascular tissue
vessel elements continuous tubes which water moves through
dermal tissue tissue type that contains epidermal cells and root hair cells
stomata openings in leaf that control the exchange of gases
