QuestionAnswer
Editing The process by which the editor combines indivual shots into a cinematic whole
Scene A group of related shots, usually limited to one setting and a group of characters
Sequence A group of related scenes
Cutting The actual joining together of two shots
Continuity Editing Tells a story as clearly and coherently as possible
180 degree system The camera remains consistently on one side of the line of action
Shot/Reverse Shot Crosscutting between shots of two different characters, usually in a conversation and confrontation
Two-Shot Shows two characters
Crosscutting/Intercutting/Parallel Editing Cutting between two or more lines of action
Montage A sequence of shots showing a condensed series of event
