What is the main function of the respiratory system? The main function of the respiratory system is to supply the blood with oxygen and remove carbon dioxide from the body through breathing.
What organ is primarily responsible for filtering blood in the human body? The kidneys are responsible for filtering waste products and excess substances from the blood to form urine.
What is the basic unit of the nervous system? The neuron is the basic unit of the nervous system. It transmits electrical and chemical signals throughout the body.
What is the function of red blood cells? Red blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body and return carbon dioxide to the lungs to be exhaled.
Which hormone regulates blood sugar levels? Insulin, produced by the pancreas, helps regulate blood sugar (glucose) levels by allowing cells to absorb and store glucose.
What is the role of the digestive system? The digestive system breaks down food into nutrients that the body can absorb and use for energy, growth, and cell repair.
What part of the brain controls balance and coordination? The cerebellum controls balance, posture, and coordination of movements.
What is the main function of the heart in the human body? The heart pumps blood throughout the body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues and removing waste products like carbon dioxide.
