What is homeostasis? Internal stability of the body's fluid environment.
What are the four major organic substances? Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins, and Nucleic Acids.
What does hydrophilic mean? Water loving.
Another name for prostaglandins. Tissue hormones.
What enzyme in saliva starts to breakdown starch? Amylase.
What are the four basic tissue types? Epithelial, Muscle, Connective, Neurons.
Term for something that changes homeostasis. Disruptor
What are the three classes of carbohydrates? monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides
What is the most abundant lipid? Triglycerides
What does hydrophobic mean? Water fearing.
