| Creolization | The process in which two or more languages converge to form a new language. |
| Cultural Convergence | The theory that two cultures will become more alike the more they interact. |
| Cultural Relativism | The idea that a person’s beliefs and actions should be understood by others in terms of that individual’s own culture |
| Dialect | A regional variant of a language distinguished by unique vocabulary and pronunciation. |
| Ethnic Enclave | A neighborhood that retains some cultural distinction from a larger area. |
| Ethnocentrism | The feeling that one’s own ethnic group or culture is superior to others. |
