What happens if the body fails to keep homeostasis? Cells stop working right, and sickness or even death can occur
How does the body show homeostasis in action? By keeping things like temperature, oxygen, and fluid levels steady every day
What are the basic units of matter studied in anatomy? Atoms and molecules
Which biomolecules are commonly found in the human body? Carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins.
Why is studying cells important for understanding the human body? Because every function in muscles, nerves, and organs begins with how cells work and communicate
What can happen if cell growth or reproduction goes wrong? It can lead to genetic disorders, cancer, or other serious conditions
What is a tissue? A tissue is a group of similar cells that work together to perform a common function.
What two main connective tissues form the skeleton? Bone and cartilage.
What is the function of articulations or joints? They connect bones and allow stability or movement in the skeleton.
What is an articulation, and how does it function? An articulation, or joint, is where bones meet some allow movement, while others, like skull sutures, do not
