| Osteoporosis | Age related condition where bones lose mineral density, becoming weak and brittle. |
| Sarcoplasmic Reticulum | Specialized endoplasmic reticulum in muscle cells that stores and releases calcium ions needed for muscle contraction. |

| Synarthrosis | An immovable joint, such as those found between the bones of the skull. |
| ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) | The molecule that provides energy for muscle contraction and many other cellular processes. |
| Glycogen | The storage form of glucose found in muscle and liver cells, used as an energy reserve. |
| Microglia | Specialized immune cells in the central nervous system that destroy pathogens and remove damaged tissue. |
| Epithelial Tissue | Tissue that covers body surfaces, lines body cavities, and forms glands for protection, absorption, and secretion. |
