What is the dermis of the skin ? The dermis is the deep thickest layer of the skin
Describe cells in the stratum granulosum ? cells are arranged in layers and are filled with staining granules called keratohyalin.
Describe the keratinocytes in the stratum lucidum ? keratinocytes are very flat , closely packed together, and clear.
what is the stratum corneum cells described as ? very thin cells
What are the layers that make up the epidermis ? the stratum basale, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and the stratum corneum.
How many layers make up the epidermis? 5 layers
What is skin ? The skin is the body’s thinnest and one of its most important organs
What is the largest organ of the body ? The skin
What does the skin do for the body ? The skin forms a self-repairing protective boundary between the internal and external environment of the body.
Primary layers of the skin ? the epidermis and the dermis
