Homeostasis The body's ability to keep internal conditions stable despite outside changes.
Metabolism All chemical reactions in the body that build up or break down substances.
Lipids Fats and oils that store energy and protect organs.
Proteins Large molecules made of amino acids that build and repair body tissues.
Mitochondria The "powerhouse" of the cell that makes energy (ATP).
Ribosomes Small structures that make proteins.
Tissue A group of similar cells working together for a function.
Neurons Nerve cells that transmits signals.
Epidermis The outer layer of skin made of epithelial cells.
Dermis The deeper layer of skin containing nerves, glands, and blood vessels.
Osteoblasts Cells that build new bone tissue.
Osteoclasts Cells that break down old bone tissue.
