QuestionAnswer
A type of writing that expresses a position on a topic/issue. argument
The main argument that the writer tries to prove in their essay; it will appear in the introduction claim
Specific information that is used to support a claim. evidence
Acknowledges an opposing viewpoint and then contrasts that argument with further reasons and evidence counter argument
A statement of factual evidence; it is supported by sound reasoning logical appeal
