| Atom | Tiny spheres of matter so small they are invisible |
| Element | Pure substance that cannot be broken down or decomposed into two or more different substances. |
| Isotopes | An element contain the same number of protons but different number of neutrons |
| Cytoplasm | The inside of the cell is composed largely of a gel-like substance |
| Red blood cell | Transport oxygen in the bloodstream ( from lungs to other parts of the body) |
| Nucleus | brain of the cell. It stores DNA and controls what the cell does |
| Skin | The primary organ of the integumentary system |
| Connective Tissue | one of the most widespread and diverse tissues in the body and is found in or around nearly every organ of the body. |
| Antagonists | Muscles that, when contracting, directly oppose prime movers |
| Articular cartilage | Thin layer of hyaline cartilage that covers the articular or joint surface of epiphyses |
