TermDefinition
Zero Pair Two numbers whose sum is zero; opposite numbers.
Negative Numbers Numbers that are less than zero; located to the left of zero on a horizontal number line and below zero on a vertical number line.
Opposite Numbers Numbers that are the same distance from zero on a number line but in opposite directions; have the same numeral, but opposite signs.
Positive numbers. Numbers that are greater than zero; located to the right of zero on a horizontal number line and above zero on a vertical number line.
Relative to Compared to something to someone else.
