Homeostatis The body’s ability to maintain a stable internal environment despite external changes.
DNA The molecule that carries genetic information in all living things.
Cell Membrane The outer layer of a cell that controls what enters and leaves.
Skin The body’s largest organ that protects internal organs and regulates temperature.
Astrocytes Star-shaped cells in the brain that support and protect neurons.
Keloid A thick, raised scar that forms after an injury heals.
Actin A protein that helps muscles contract and supports cell structure
Osteoclasts Bone cells that break down old or damaged bone tissue.
Osteoporosis A condition where bones become weak and brittle.
diaphysis The main shaft or central part of a long bone
