TermDefinition
Constant of proportionality A constant ratio or unit rate of two variable quantities . It also called the constant of variation
nonproportional The relationship between two ratios with a rate or ratio that is not constant.
proportion An equation stating that two ratios or rates are equivalent.
proportional The relationship between two ratios with a constant rate or ratio
proportional relationship two rates that are going up by the same rate every time.
unit rate A rate in which the first quantity is compared to 1 unit of the second quantity
