What is homeostasis? Homeostasis is when the body is functioning and working with a specific set point or with certain criteria and is able to maintain it through various actions.
What is a negative feedback loop? Negative feedback control systems are inhibitory. Negative feedback control systems stabilize physiological variables.
What is a positive feedback loop? Positive feedback control systems are stimulatory. and amplify the stimulation of what is occurring as in childbirth labor is positive feedback.
What does DNA stand for? DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid
The correct order of the phases of mitosis is? The correct order is prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase.
Transcription can be best described as the process of? The synthesis of mRNA.
What structure is formed by the union of the basal and reticular lamina? The basement membrane is the structure formed by the union of basal membrane and the reticular lamina.
A tissue is? Tissue a group of similar cells that perform a common function.
What bone is positioned most superiorly on the human skeleton? The frontal.
Bones grow in diameter by the combined action of which two of the three bone cell types? The osteoblasts and osteoclasts.
