| What is Homeostasis ? | Homeostasis means keeping the body’s internal environment stable, even when the external environment changes. |
| Why is Homeostasis important? | It keeps conditions like temperature, pH, and fluid balance just right so that cells can function properly |
| What is a positive feedback loop? | it strengthens a change instead of reversing it, like contractions during childbirth. |
| What is a negative feedback loop? | It’s when the body reverses a change to bring conditions back to normal, like sweating to cool down. |
| What are the main biomolecules? | Carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. |
| What are lipids used for? | They store energy, protect organs, and make up cell membranes. |
| What are nucleic acids? | DNA and RNA - they store and carry genetic information. |
| What are the main parts of a cell? | The cell membrane, cytoplasm, and nucleus are the three main parts. |
| Why is mitosis important? | It helps with growth, repair, and replacing old cells. |
| What are the four types of tissue? | Epithelial, connective, muscle and nervous tissue. |
| What are the main layers of the skin? | Epidermis, dermis, hypodermis. |
| What are the different bone types? | Long, short, flat, irregular , and sesamoid bones. |
| What is the axial skeleton? | Skull, spine and rib cage. ( The body’s main axis) |
| What are the three types of muscle tissue? | Skeletal, smooth, and cardiac. |
| What are the three main types of joints? | Fibrous(No movement), cartilaginous (slight movement), and synovial(freely moveable). |
