Satellite A body that orbits a planet
Star. A giant ball of superheated gas

Comet Cold mixture of dust and ice that develops a long trail of light.
Constellation A pattern of stars that represent a picture.
Geocentric A model of our solar system with everything revolving around earth.
Heliocentric A model of our solar system with everything revolving around the Sun.
Ellispe The orbit of each planet.
Sun Largest object in our solar system.
Axis Above it
Rotation The spinning of earth on its axis
Revolution The movement of one object around another
Orbit Earth path around the sun
Solstice One day per year when the sun rises the highest
Equinox Half way between solstice , neither hemisphere is tilted towards the sun
Gravity The force that attracts thing towards each other.
Law of the universal gravitation Every object in the universe attracts to another object.
Inertia The tendency in an object to resist a change in motion.
Phase Different shape of the moon you see
Solar eclipse When the moon passes directly between the Earth and Sun during a new moon

Tide Daily rise and fall of ocean water
Spring tide Higher high tides during full and new moons
Neap tide Lower tides during the first and third quarter moons
Maria Dark smooth, lava covered areas on the moon
Highlands Higher lighter areas on the moon covered in craters
Penumbra Area of a shadow where light is partially blocked
Umbra Darkest part of a shadow where light is completely blocked.
