Ellipse An oval shape
Sun Largest object in our solar system
axis Imaginary line that passes from the North Pole through the earths center,to the south pole
Rotation The spinning of earth on axis
Revolution Is the movement of one object around another
Orbits Earths path around the sun
Solistces Occur when either the northern and southern hemisphere is at the strongest tilt towards the sun.
Equinox Neither hemisphere is tilted toward the sun
Gravity The force that attracts all objects toward each other
Law of universal gravitation Every objects attracts every other and force depends on mass and distance
Inertia Is the tendency of an object to resist a change in motion.
