Anatomy Weeks 1-7

TermDefinition
Anterior The front side of the body or body part.
Abdomen The part of the body between the chest and the hips that contains the stomach, intestine, and other organs.
Electron A tiny, negatively charged particle that moves around the nucleus of an atom.
Nucleic Acids Molecules that store and carry genetic information in cells.
Golgi Apparatus A cell organelle that is sorting and sending out proteins.
Basement Membrane A thin layer that seperates and supports epithelial tussue from the tissue underneath.
Vertebra One of the bones that make up the spine.
Myeloid Tissue It is a making blood cells inside bones and is another name for bone marrow.
Patella The small bone in from of the knee joint.
Hyaline A smooth type of cartilage that covers bones ends in joints and helps them move easily.
