TermDefinition
What is PH? PH is a number scale that ranges from (0-14). It is used to help indicate how acid or how basic a substance is.
How many layers of skin does a human have? Humans are known to have three layers of skin. Known as the Epidermis, Dermis and the Hypdermis.
Meaning of the epidermis? The epidermis is the outermost layer pf the skin, it is responsible for protecting the skin and for providing its pigmentation.
What is the function of the Dermis? The Dermis is known as the middle layer of the skin. This middle layer contains collagen that helps give the skin strength, elasticity and resistance.
Meaning of skeletal system? The skeletal system is known as the body's framework. The skeletal system helps provide the body with shape and provides the support thay the body needs.
The meaning of muscle? Muscle is known as the body tissue that helps the body move
What are the three main muscles in the body? The body's three main muscles are the skeletal muscles, smooth muscles and cardiac muscles.
Joint This is where two or more bones meet. It also allows movement and flexibility to occur.
Melanin Is a pigment produced by cells. The darker skin colored a person is, the more melanin they have in their body.
What are Sweat Glands? Sweat glands are known as glands that help keep the body cool by releasing sweat through the body pores.
