| Positive Feedback | A control mechanism that amplifies a change |
| Atom | The smallest unit of matter that retains the properties of an element |
| Cell | The basic structural and functional unit of life |
| Organ System | A group of organs that work together to perform a specific function for the body |
| Protein | A large biomolecule made of amino acids, essential for structure, function, and regulation of body tissues |
| Mitochondria | Organelles that produce ATP, the cell's main energy source through cellular respiration. |
