| What plane divides the body into right and left halves? | The sagittal plane divides the body into right and left sections. |
| What are the main body cavities? | The dorsal cavity (cranial, and spinal) and ventral cavity (thoracic and abdominopelvic). |
| What organelles are responsible for energy production in the cell? | Mitochondria- they convert nutrients into ATP through cellular respiration. |
| What is the role of the skeletal system? | It supports the body protects organs, allows movement, stores minerals, and produces blood cells. |
| What is the function of epithelial tissue? | It covers body surfaces, lines cavities, and forms glands for protection and secretion. |
| How do muscles contract at the cellular level? | Myosin and actin filaments slide past each other using ATP to shorten the muscle fiber. |
| What are the main components of the integumentary system? | Skin, hair, nails, sweat glands, and sebaceous glands. |
| What is the function of the nervous system? | It controls and coordinates body activities by transmitting electrical signals through neurons. |
