anatomical position when the body is standing upright, feet are shouldered apart, toes forward, arms down to the side, and palms out.
homeostasis the body's ability to maintain a stable internal enviorment despite changes in the external enviorment.
pH potential of hydrogen.
respiratory tract the pathway through which air travels as it enters and exits the lungs, its divided into two main parts: upper respiratory tract and the lower respiratory tract.
urinary system the body's waste, removal and fluid regulation system.
biomolecules the molecules that make up all living organisms and are essential for life processes such as growth, repair, and energy production.
melanin natural pigment produced by cells called melanocytes in the skin, hair, and eyes.
body membranes thin layers of tissue that covers the body surfaces, line body, cavities and surround organs.
ligaments fibrous bands that help hold the various bones together into an organized skeleton.
bone marrow a type of soft connective tissue called myeloid tissue.
