What is Carbon? Carbon is a chemical element with the symbol C and atomic number 6, and it is the basis of all life on Earth.
What is an Atom? An atom is the smallest unit of matter that retains the properties of a chemical element and is the basic building block of all substances.
What is a Cell? A cell is the smallest basic unit of all living things, like plants, animals, and people.
What are the 3 main parts of a Cell? Cell membrane, Cytoplasm, and the Nucleus.
What are the Anatomical Positions? Supine, Prone, Fowler's and Lateral Recumbent Positions.
What are the Anatomical Planes? Sagittal, Coronal and Transverse Planes.
What is the Integumentary System? The Integumentary system is the body's outer covering, made up of the skin, hair, nails, and glands.
What are the layers of the Epidermis? (Stratum) Corneum, Lucidum, Granulosum, Spinosum and Basale'.
What are the 2 types of Bone? Compact (Cortical) and Spongy (Cancellous).
What are the 2 major sections of the Skeleton? Axial and Appendicular.
What is the Muscular System? A network of muscles and tissues that enables movement in the body.
How many Muscles are in the human body? Approximately 650.
