What is the octet rule? Atoms with fewer than 8 electrons in the outer energy level attempting to lose, gain, or share electrons with other atoms to achieve stability.
What is the difference between the smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER) and the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER)? RER: Has ribosomes attached to the surface giving it that appearance. SER: Lacks ribosomes. RER: Synthesizes and transports proteins SER: Lipid production, detoxification, and calcium storage.
What is the difference between microvilli, cilia, and flagella? Microvilli - fingerlike projections that increase the surface area of absorption. Cilia - fine processes that transport fluid across the surface of the cell. Flagella - single elongated processes that enable cell mobility.
What are the four major types of tissues of the human body? Epithelial, Connective, Muscle, and Nervous

What cell is mainly found in cartilage? Also, why does cartilage take so long to heal? Chondrocyte Cartilage is avascular and relies on diffusion for nutrients.
