axial and appendicular The body as a whole can be subdivided into two major divisions.

Dermis Located beneath the epidermis, significantly thicker, and consists of connective tissue.
osteons Compact bone contains many cylinder-shaped structural units called
sternum The medial part of the anterior chest wall is supported by a dagger-shaped bone
fascia The fibrous connective tissue that surrounds the entire muscle and is outside the epimysium and tendon
