| Erythrocytes | Transport O2 and CO2 bound to hemoglobin |
| Lymphocytes | B cells: make antibodies T cells : kill virus infected cells and regulate activities of other leukocytes |

| Basophil | Release histamine in certain immune reactions (and in some serotonin) |
