What are the three types of muscle tissue? Skeletal, cardiac, smooth.

What are the primary organs of the integumentary system? Skin, hair, nails (and associated glands).
What are the two main layers of skin, and which is deeper? Epidermis (outer) and dermis (inner). The dermis is deeper
List the layers of the epidermis, from deepest to most superficial. Stratum basale → stratum spinosum → stratum granulosum → (stratum lucidum, in thick skin) → stratum corneum.
: What is the most dangerous type of skin cancer? Why? Melanoma, because it is most likely to metastasize (spread to other organs).
What is a keloid? In what tissue type is it most likely to form? A keloid is an overgrowth of scar tissue (excessive collagen) and is most likely to form in connective tissue (dermal connective tissue).
Define a mucous membrane and give one location. A mucous membrane lines internal cavities open to the outside (e.g. lining of the digestive tract).
Name the four principal tissue types in the body. Epithelial, connective, muscle, nervous.
Which type of tissue has the greatest capacity for regeneration? Epithelial tissue.
