Mishpat: JUSTICE – “What needs to be done in a given situation if people and circumstance are to be restored to conformity with sedeq.”
What is Biblical Justice? Primary Justice- when things are as they ought to be- God's Shalom Secondary Justice- working to restore God’s creation to God’s original intent- his shalom
Reality: One gets more than is needed while the other gets less than is needed, thus a huge disparity is created
Equality: The assumption is that everyone benefits from the same support this is considered to be equal treatment.
Equity: everyone gets the support they need, which produces equity.
Race a socio-political construct that categorizes people based on perceived physical characteristics.
Polygenesis: The theory that races (ethnic groups) do not share a common origin (such as denying a common origin between European and non-European peoples). This view cannot be supported scientifically.
Ethnicity: Refers to distinct sociocultural groups who share a perceived common heritage or narrative, religion, culture, nationality, or race, [and may include geographical region].
Nationality: The status of belonging to a particular nation, whether by birth of naturalizations.
Racism: The diminishment of worth in men and women and through bias, systems and power structures that disadvantage them in tangible ways based on skin color. (Ken Wytsma)

mplicit Bias: Includes the subconscious feelings, attitudes, prejudices and stereotypes an individual has developed due to prior influenced and imprints throughout their lives. Individuals are unaware of.
White privilege “Ignorance of how we are shaped racially is the first sign of privilege. In other words, it is a privilege to ignore the consequence of race in America.” (Wytsma p.5)
