What is Fascia? Fibrous connective tissue surrounding the muscle organ and located outside the epimysium and tendon.
What are the four rotator cuff muscles? supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis.
What is the difference between afferent division and efferent division? afferent division of the nervous system consists of all of the incoming sensory or afferent pathways. The efferent division of the nervous system consists of all the outgoing motor or efferent pathways.
What are the 6 main divisions of the brain? medulla oblongata, pons, midbrain, cerebellum, diencepha-lon, and cerebrum.
How is the lumbar plexus formed? The intermingling of fibers from the first four lumbar nerves.
Which division in the autonomic system is responsible for the "Fight or Flight" response? Sympathetic division
What are the 6 classified categories for receptors that detect stimuli? Mechanoreceptors, Chemoreceptors, Thermoreceptors, Nociceptors, Photoreceptors, Osmoreceptors.
What is the difference between extrinsic eye muscles and intrinsic eye muscles? Extrinsic eye muscles are skeletal muscles that attach to the out-side of the eyeball and to the bones of the orbit. are smooth, or involuntary, muscles located within the eye.
Norepinephrine is an example of? A chemical messenger that can be either a hormone or neurotransmitter.
What are the two primary functions of oxytocin? It stimulates rhythmic contraction of smooth muscles in the uterus, and it causes milk ejection from the breasts of lactating women.
