What are the main phases to the Scientific Method? Observation and previous experiments, Propose hypothesis, design experiment, collect and analyze data, determine if data are biased, refine hypothesis, repeat experiments, accept as theory, accept as law
Define what the Octet Rule is? Atoms with fewer than eight electrons in the outer energy level will attempt to lose, gain, or share electrons with other atoms to achieve stability.
What are the main functions of the membrane? Transport, identification, signaling, connection
What are the Principle Types of tissue? Epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue, nervous tissue
What are Osteoblasts and Osteoclasts? Osteoblasts are bone forming cells and osteoclasts are bone destroying cells
What are the five cell layers of the skin? Stratum Basale, Stratum Spinosum, Stratum Granulosum, Stratum Lucidum, and Stratum Corneum
Describe fibrocartilage? Is strong, rigid, and most often associated with regions of dense connective tissue in the body
What is the difference between true ribs and false ribs? True ribs are the first 7 pairs of ribs joins directly to the sternum by costal cartilage. False ribs are the remaining 5 ribs that aren't attached to the sternum but are rather attached by costal cartilage to the rib that is above each on of them
What is the largest sesamoid bone in the body? The patella
How do Ionic bonds occur? Occurs as a result of the attraction between atoms that have become electrically charged by the loss or gain of electrons
