A chemical bob formed by sharing one or more pairs of electrons between the outer shells of two atoms is called? Covalent bond
Oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen make up what percentage of the human body? 96%
What is the force that holds two atoms together? Chemical bond
A chemical bond that is formed by the transfer of electrons from one atom to the other is called? Ionic bond
What bond is a result of an unequal charge of distribution on a molecule? Hydrogen Bond
What is a decomposition reaction? Result in the breakdown of one or more complex substances into two or more simpler substances
What is an exchange reaction? Two different reactants to exchange components and as a result which form two new products
Synthesis Reaction Result in the formation of new bonds and energy is required for the reaction to occur and the new product to form
What is the pH scale? It is a scale determines the acidity or alkalinity of a substance
What is alkaline level on the pH scale? Is 'basic' or not acidity. It is on the lower end of the pH scale due to a smaller or decreasing amount of H+ ions than OH- and is 8-14 on the scale
What is acidity level on the pH scale? It shows the acid in a solutions due to a larger or increasing amount of H+ ions than OH- and is 6-0 on the scale
What is neutral on the pH scale? Equal parts H+ and OH- and is 7 on the pH scale
