Cultural Geography

Culture ways of living shared by a group of people that are passed from generation to generation

Ethnicity usually refers to someone's cultural background or where they (or their ancestors) come from
Ritual a customary ceremony where the actions and wording are performed in a specific sequence or order
Cultural Relativism evaluating and judging a culture by it's own standards rather than viewing it through the lens of your own culture
Stereotype a generalization, usually exaggerated or oversimplified and often offensive, that is used to describe or distinguish a group
Cultural Health area where a cultural trait originated
Ethnocentrism evaluating and judging another culture based on how it compares to your own cultural norms
Discrimination the practice of unfairly treating a person or group of people differently from other people or people or groups of people
Relocation people physically move to a new area and take their culture with them
Hierarchical spreading from an authority or hearth
Contagious spreading through contact from person to person, like a virus
Stimulus spread on an idea that is modified or combined with another idea
