How to test for a marker chromosome? CMA. This can tell you if it's a gene poor or gene rich region. Sometimes FISH probe can detect which chromosome it came from, but that won't tell us where the breakpoints are.
In general, if a chromosome issues, use these test methods: Karyotype, CMA, FISH
