What is homeostasis? Homeostasis is the body’s maintenance of a stable internal environment
Name the four major types of tissue? Epithelial, Connective, Muscle, & Nervous
What are the phases of action potential? Depolarization, repolarization, and hyperpolarization.
What are the components of reflex arc? Receptor, sensory neuron, integration center, motor neuron, and effector.
What is cell membrane composed of? It is composed of a phospholipid bilayer with embedded proteins, cholesterol, and carbohydrates.
What is the anatomical position? The anatomical position is standing upright, facing forward, arms at sides, palms facing forward.
What are the main types of bone cells? Osteoblasts, Osteocytes, & Osteoclasts
What are the components of blood? Red blood cells, White blood cells, Platelets, & Plasma
What are the three types of muscle tissue? Skeletal muscle, Cardiac muscle, & Smooth muscle
What is the function of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)? CSF cushions the brain and spinal cord, maintains chemical stability, and removes waste products from the CNS.
