Alcohol abuse Using alcohol in ways that are unhealthy, illegal, or both.
Alcoholism A disease in which a person has a physical and psychological need for alcohol.
ulcers Open sores in the stomach lining.
cirrhosis Scarring and destruction of liver tissue.
Blood alcohol concentration, or BAC the amount of alcohol in the blood
intoxicated being drunk
depressant A drug that can slow down the activity of the brain and nervous system
