What did Anton van Leeuwenhoek call his living cells? Animalcules
What are animalcules called now? Protists
Who discovered plant cells? Matthias Schleiden
Who discovered animal cells? Theodor Schwann
Who determined cells from pre-existing cells? Rudolf Virchow
Cells were thought of as free-cell formation, what are they called now? Pre-existing cells
