| Deep fascia | Surrounds deeper organs, including epimysium of muscle |
| Tendon sheath | Tubelike tunnel around tendon of muscle; lined with synovial membrane |
| Epimysium | Surrounds entire muscle organ |
| Perimysium | Surrounds a fascicle (bundle) of muscle fibers |
| Endomysium | Surrounds an individual muscle fiber |
| Muscle strain | Caused from overstretching, graded from mild- moderate - complete tearing |
| Myasthenia Gravis | Chronic autoimmune disease leading to muscle weakness |
| Sarcopenia | Progressive muscle atrophy typically caused by normal aging process |
