| Condensation- | The reverse of evaporation when a substance changes from a gas to a liquid state |
| Deposition- | The change in state directly from a gas to a solid state |
| Boiling point- | The specific temperature at which a liquid changes to a gas |
| Melting point- | The specific temperature at which a solid changes to a liquid |
| Gas- | A substance that has neither a definite shape nor volume |
