QuestionAnswer
Center a point that is the same distance from every point on the circle.
circle a two dimensional shape in which every point is the same distance from the center.
circumference The distance around the outside of a circle; the distance across a circle through the center.
Diameter A line segment that goes through the center of a circle and has endpoints on the circle; the distance across a circle through the center.
pi In a circle, the quotient a common approximation is 3.14
radius A line segment from the center of a circle to any point on the circle; also, the distance from the center to any point on a circle.
Area The amount of space inside a closed two-dimensional figure; measured in square units such as square centimeters.
unit rate the numerical part of a rate
approximate (adjective) Almost exact
Approximate (verb) to find a close position or almost exact value of something
